I am glad to welcome the organizers, participants and guests of the International Tourism Forum in Sochi SIFT 2016.
Over the past two years, the Russian tourism market has undergone major changes. There is a turning point in favor of domestic and inbound tourism. Tour operators reoriented to domestic destinations. In order to increase market transparency and protect consumer rights, sectoral legislation is changing.

On behalf of the administration of the Krasnodar Territory I greet you at the International Tourism Forum SIFT! Every year on the site of the main media center of the Olympic Park the city of Sochi gathers leading representatives of the tourist and hotel business, transport complex, representatives of insurance companies and mass media.
The forum has won the prestige of one of the most effective business and expert sites focused on domestic and inbound tourism. The program of the planned events includes round tables, scientific and practical conferences, presentations, master classes, as well as the exhibition "Resorts and Tourism & raquo ;, which serves as a launching pad before the start of the next tourist season. There are expositions of sanatoriums, boarding houses, hotels and recreation centers not only in the Krasnodar Territory, but also in the south of Russia as a whole. On behalf of the Russian Union of Travel Industry (PCT), the largest business association in the hospitality industry of our country and the profile committee of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, I am glad to welcome the organizers and participants of the International Tourism Forum 2016 in Sochi.
The management of Sochi and the Krasnodar Territory as a whole pays special attention to the development of inbound and inland tourism, which is especially important in the framework of the implementation of the Presidiums & nbsp; of the State Council under the President of the Russian Federation of August 17, 2015 and August 26, 2016.

Final Press Release Sochi International forum for tourism - SIFT-2016
On November 24-25, Sochi hosted the Sochi International forum for tourism - SIFT 2016, held under the auspices of the Sochi City Administration. The main media center in the Imereti Lowland has traditionally been the venue. Once again, the Forum confirmed its status as the main business site for domestic and incoming tourism in Russia: more than 900 tour operators and about 8,000 professionals and leaders of the tourism industry gathered in Sochi to resolve all issues for the new tourist season.
The forum was organized by the city of Sochi and the company & laquo; SOUD – Sochi exhibitions are organized with the assistance of: the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Federal Agency for Tourism, the Russian Union of Travel Industry, the Russian Hotel Association, the Association of Tour Operators of Russia, the Administration of Krasnodar Region, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Krasnodar Region, the Sochi Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The coordinator of the congress was the national tour operator "Alean", tour coordinators – Leading tour operators in Russia and Sochi.
Within the framework of the Forum:
- XXIII International Tourism Exhibition «Resorts and Tourism. Season 2016-2017»;
- XVII International Specialized Exhibition «Hotel and Restaurant Business 2016»;
- Congress «Technology and service in domestic and inbound tourism»;
- Familiarizing and educational tours on the objects of resort and business Sochi.
The forum opened a business breakfast on behalf of the Head of Sochi Anatoly Pakhomov. The head of the city-resort of Sochi discussed with experts the issues of improving the quality of service, introducing a resort gathering, urging the participants of the Forum to share their accumulated experience.
At 12:00 the solemn opening ceremony of the Forum was held with the participation of the Russian presidential aide Levitin I.E., the head of the Federal Agency for Tourism Safonov O.P., the Minister of Resorts, Tourism and Olympic Heritage of Krasnodar Konstantinidi K.A., the Head of Sochi Pahomov A.N.
In a welcome speech, Igor Levitin said in particular: «The forum is very important for us: it is an entrance and is intended to show how beautiful our country is, how much we are ready to make our guests comfortable here. And Sochi, of course, is an example of how to organize tourism ».
After the solemn opening ceremony, the members of the official delegation got acquainted with the exposition of the exhibition and communicated with its participants.
The exhibition area of the Forum this year was more than 6000 square meters, its participants were 270 leading enterprises of the tourism industry from various regions of Russia. The largest number of participants has traditionally come from the Krasnodar Territory. These are large Sochi hotels, representatives of tourist business of Gelendzhik, Anapa, Tuapse, Hot Key and resorts of the South of Russia. Also this year, we were joined by the regions of the Middle Belt and Siberia, including the Krasnodar Territory, Crimea – Sevastopol, Simferopol, Novorossiysk, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Novosibirsk, Chelyabinsk, Tyumen, Khanty-Mansiysk, Makhachkala, Rostov-on-Don, Adygea, Volgograd, Belgorod, etc. The exhibition featured accommodation facilities, resorts, service Companies, sightseeing objects, educational institutions and other participants of tourist business.
More than 8,000 people from most of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, such as Central, Southern, North-Western, Far Eastern, Siberian, Ural, Volga, North-Caucasian Federal Districts, from the Republics of Adygea, North Ossetia-Alania, Karelia, Komi , Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, Crimea, Chuvashia, as well as from abroad, including from China, Germany, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, the Republic of Moldova, Abkhazia, Ukraine, Georgia, etc. 92% of visitors are specialists of the industry.
An official visit to the Tourforum was attended by a delegation from the city of Chengdu as part of the leaders of the Chengdu City People's Government and the media. Purpose of visit – Exchange of experience and development of cooperation in the field of tourism.
The work of the Forum was continued by the plenary session of «the 2016 Resort season». Results and Prospects, attended by the Governor of the Krasnodar Territory Kondratyev Veniamin Ivanovich, Levitin Igor Evgenievich, Safonov Oleg Petrovich, Konstantinidi Khristofor Alexandrovich, Anatoly Pakhomov, Sergey Valentinovich Strelbitsky, Minister of Resorts And tourism of the Republic of Crimea, and other officials.
At the end of the plenary session, the Governor of the Krasnodar Territory made a tour around the exposition with the purpose of personal communication with the Forum's exhibitors.
Immediately after the plenary session, a working meeting was held on the execution of the list of instructions of the President of the Russian Federation following the meeting of the Presidium of the State Council of the Russian Federation on the development of tourism in the Russian Federation, moderated by I.E. Levitin. Upon its completion, the leaders of the key industry associations gathered at the same table in the panel discussion «Changes in the Tourism Law » To discuss pressing issues and develop specific instructions for regulators.

A pleasant surprise for the participants of the seminar was the drawing of a voucher to the Crimea.
An interesting conversation took place within the framework of the panel discussion "Interaction of employers and educational institutions in the training of personnel for the tourist industry". On the second day of the congress, where the heads of the country's higher education institutions dealing with the training of personnel for the hospitality industry discussed the following issues: problems and ways to optimize the interaction of enterprises in the industry and universities in the field of training; Modern requirements for training; Methods, technologies and problems of professional adaptation of graduates of profile higher educational establishments at the enterprises of sphere of tourism and hospitality, etc.
