The city of Sochi - the main platform for domestic and inbound tourism in Russia!

Between 25 and 28 November 2014 in the Main Media Center of Sochi hosted the first International Tourism Forum.

The Forum took place:

• 25-26 November - XXI International Tourism Exhibition "Resorts and Tourism.
  Season 2014-2015. "
• 25-26 November - Congress' internal and inbound tourism. Problems and Prospects ".
• 26, 27, 28 November - a full-scale familiarization study tours on objects updated Sochi.

• Zakharchenko Yu, Director General of JSC «SOUD-Sochi Exhibitions".

He congratulated the participants and guests to the beginning of the event and a Happy New Year to the main Santa Claus of our country from the Great Ustyug.

After the end of the opening ceremony of the official members of the delegation got acquainted with the exposition and talked with its members.

The meeting discussed topical issues of Russian tourism industry and their solutions. The event was attended by students as 472 people.

(Southern Federal District - 76%, the Central Federal District - 12%, RPO - 4%, the Northwestern Federal District - 2% and 1% - Far East Federal District, Siberian Federal District, Urals Federal District, Volga Federal District, North Caucasus Federal District), as well as Turkey, Abkhazia, Vietnam and the UK. 85% of visitors - industry experts. The exposition was developed on 6000 sq.m. new modern exhibition complex of the Main Media Center, they visited more than 20 events of the business program of the Congress.

An important part of the presentation of the Forum began familiarization study tours of the renovated facilities in Sochi. The purpose of the project - to show the new Sochi, give the opportunity to see everything with my own eyes.

321 rounds participant who came from all over Russia and abroad, lived in a newly built and updated hotels, familiarized with the tourism opportunities of Sochi on 5 main areas:

• Mountain cluster ( "Mount");
• Coastal cluster ( "sea");
• spa complex sanatorium ( "Treatment and recovery");
• resources for corporate events and large-scale events ( «MICE»);
• city-resort attractions ( "Sightseeing and excursions").

The Mayor of Sochi, Anatoly Pakhomov expressed the general opinion of the importance of the tourist forum for the development of domestic tourism in our country: "We really need a forum - and to participate in the exhibition, and to discuss the problems of the industry. Forum - a platform where you can get all sorts of suggestions, to identify and discuss the shortcomings of the current situation in the industry and jointly identify ways to solve the above problems. "
